Social and fundraising events
Pre-School has a busy social and fundraising calendar.

We are, of course, always looking for extra help when putting on these events, ranging from helping sell tickets or a stint on the bar rota to baking a cup-cake or three. Please look out for volunteer lists that go up on the noticeboards and sign up for a job if you can!
What we spent our fundraising on
The funds raised this year meant that we could buy a new camera for pre school, contribute towards the continual professional development of the staff and create a New Year wish list.
Upcoming Events...
* Thursday 9th February 2012: after the pre school session, we will be having our traditional pub get together. As from 12.15pm all are welcome for some sandwiches and chips at the Robin Hood Pub. It’s a great end of term social and a nice way to say thank you to the pub for using their car park everyday. Details to follow.
* Sunday 8th April: The Easter Bunny Hunt!. More details to follow.
* Smartie Pig
Please don’t forget to collect your spare change in your empty Smartie tubes, and once your tube is full, empty your coins into the Smartie Pig in the quiet room. We raised over £35 last term.
Funds Raised...
• Photographs
Joanne Bryant came to the Institute for a day to take family photos. It was a real hit with a jammed packed timetable and lots of you bought the photos afterwards. Joanne gave us a percentage and we raised £330.
• Christmas Raffle
A big thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas Raffle. Some great prizes were given away. In total we raised £126 for pre-school. Plus, we have to mention how wonderful all the children were in the Christmas Concert!
• The Cake Stall
The cake stall at the Rainow Christmas Market was a great success. We raised £137 for pre-school. Thank you to all of those who donated cakes and bakes and especially to those who helped out on the stall on the day.
• Gifts Galore
Once again Gifts Galore was a big hit for everyone buying Christmas presents and we raised an outstanding £750 for pre school. Thank you to everyone who supported it.
