Social and fundraising events

Pre-School has a busy social and fundraising calendar that includes Valentine and Halloween family parties, an Easter Bunny Hunt, a stall at the Rainow Christmas Country Market, plus concerts in the Christmas & summer terms plus end of term child friendly pub lunches. We also organise a 'Mums and Staff' night out, most recently at 90' East, Macclesfield; at least once a year.

Events are always great fun, for adults and children, and well supported. Look out for details on noticeboards at Pre-School, and in the half-termly newsletters sent to all parents.

We are, of course, always looking for extra help when putting on these events, ranging from helping sell tickets or a stint on the bar rota to baking a cup-cake or three. Please look out for volunteer lists that go up on the noticeboards and sign up for a job if you can!

Rainow Parade
Held on Saturday 17th July.
This year at the Rainow parade the children dressed up as Kings & Queens. The theme being famous people from history.
WE WON 1ST PRIZE IN THE JUNIOR SECTION !
WELL DONE EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART.

Bunny Hunt
What a fantastic turn out and a big thank you to everyone who donated cakes, donated raffle prizes, helped on a stall, worked on BBQ/Beer stand etc. A huge thank you to Jill and Andrea Ash who kindly allowed us to hold the event on their farm and who also helped in the setting up of the event. As yet we do not have an overall "total raised" to announce as all sponsorship monies and donations are still to be collected. However, judging from your generosity on the day we certainly look like we are on target to achieve our goal "to make this our biggest fund raiser ever!!" Please give Michelle French (Rubens’ Mummy) any sponsorship/donation asap. Once she has them all in, we will let you know an exact figure!! Many thanks and well done for making this such a super day!!!.

Funds raised
A big thank you to Alastair’s family who have raised £47 for Pre-School. Half of the parents attending their eldest son's birthday party were invited to make a donation to Pre-School instead of giving a present to Anthony. It was a very generous gesture from all involved.

Many thanks to everyone who donated their old mobile phones. A total of £54.47 was raised for pre-school. A few of the phones which we weren't offered much for have been kept for the pre-school toy box and already the children have been having lots of fun playing with them!

The recent Valentines Party raised a wonderful £150. Thank you to everyone for supporting this event, especially to those who brought things for the raffle and buffet and to all those that helped make it such a success. It was a lot of fun and the children really enjoyed themselves

Christmas Raffle & Quiz Sheets.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas Raffle. Some great prizes were given away. An equally big thank you to those of you who bought Quiz Sheets. In total we raised £88 for pre-school. Plus, we have to mention how wonderful all the children were in the Christmas Concert!
